We are seeking an additional part-time picture framer to join us in our busy Twickenham-based store that provides bespoke, conservation-standard picture frames to our clients.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience working as a picture framer, meticulous attention to detail and who can work as part of a dynamic team. The role is a fully encompassing picture framing role from selecting mouldings and mats with the customer to assembling the final frame. The candidate should have experience in frame cutting, using a Morso guillotine, mount cutting on a manual mount cutter and cutting of glass, as well as hinging and mounting of artwork to conservation standards.
You’ll need:
- The ability to work accurately
- Concentration and a methodical approach
- Practical and hands-on skills
We want somebody:
- To operate machinery to create picture and mirror frames, including quality control and packaging products carefully
- To liaise with clients regarding their requirements
- To perform canvas stretching and mount cutting
- To undertake any ad-hoc duties as requested by your immediate manager
