Within the Engineering function of Framatome Ltd, the Technical Lead Engineer at SZB ensures technical co-ordination of multi-discipline projects and ensures on time and on cost delivery. He is the main point of contact for the Project Manager and the Client for technical aspects of the projects.
Key Activities:- Analyse the client technical specifications, including analysis of the input data and clarification requests.
- Define the work packages for the various engineering teams involved (systems design, mechanical components, layout, piping, electrical, C&I). This can include writing work specifications and request for proposals to subcontractors or Framatome engineering teams abroad.
- Organise kick-off of these activities and regular progress meetings.
- Ensure the resolution of open points within the team and organise the resolution of cross-functional technical issues with multidisciplinary stakeholders, internal or external including the Client.
- Support the elaboration of bids: analyse the contract requirements, identify the appropriate resources, plan the work.
- Present and share progress to the Project Management team and the Head of Engineering.
- Contribute to understand the Client's needs and to define the long-term strategy of Framatome Ltd's Engineering Function.

- Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in the energy industry which can include nuclear safety, electrical, mechanical, systems, layout, C&I.
- Software and tools: Microsoft Word/Excel, CAD tools such as Autodesk Plant 3D, Autocad, E3D/PDMS are bonus.
- Key competencies: Interpersonal and communication skills, proactive, influencing skills, ability to work in a team as well as on own initiative, ability to multi-task, logical thinking, results focused with the ability to meet commitments and deadlines.
- Good knowledge on standards like BS EN 13445 (Unfired Pressure Vessels), BS EN 13480 (Metallic Industrial Piping), ASME VIII Div. 2, ASME B31.1/3/4.
- Experience in technical functions in large projects, ideally in the nuclear industry, alternatively in other sectors e.g. the oil & gas.
- Can communicate easily with other disciplines and can help solving multi-disciplinary problems.
