You have completed a BS in Engineering and at least 8 years of related experience. At least 5 years of leadership/management experience is preferred. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

• Familiar with: CSA N299.1-2016 Quality Assurance Program, CSA N291 15 Requirements for Safety Related Structures for Nuclear Power Plants, National Building Code of Canada, Professional Engineering Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Prior Bruce Power experience will be considered an asset.
• Security clearance and Orange Badge qualification is considered an asset.

As an SGR Engineering Manager in Kincardine, Ontario, you will be part of the proven team in the IBC Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. The Installed Base BU is in charge of Framatome’s nuclear engineering and services for operating nuclear plants, for new build projects and for installations in the decommissioning phase. The Installed Base BU has more than 60 years of international experience in all types of technologies on more than 380 reactors worldwide. • Mentor and grow a young engineering team while helping provide technical leadership for the Steam Generator Project.
• Execute existing Steam Generator Replacement Engineering at Bruce Power.
• Liaise with clients and partners to ensure identified solutions meet underlying needs.
• Supervise and mentor the Steam Generator Engineering Design Team in solving unique problems that support production of clean safe reliable power in Ontario.
• Provide knowledge and oversight for engineering deliverables to support plant lifetime operations including design, construction, testing, commissioning, plant operations, maintenance and decommissioning.
• Provide resolution of technical issues during design, installation and commissioning phases of projects.
• Provide resource management, work assignment, and support for proposals and estimating.
• Track and support team performance on schedule and cost metrics.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Core Engineering focus areas:

• Consulting engineering solutions
• Process Piping Design, including Valves, Pumps, and Heat Exchangers
• Fluid Dynamics, including steady state and dynamic flow analyses
• Machine Design, Solid Mechanics, and Failure Theory, including piping stress analysis and FEA
• Familiarity with/Knowledge of Bruce Power’s systems, processes, and procedures
