You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As an SGR Engineering Manager in Kincardine, Ontario, you will be part of the proven team in the IBC Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. The Installed Base BU is in charge of Framatome’s nuclear engineering and services for operating nuclear plants, for new build projects and for installations in the decommissioning phase. The Installed Base BU has more than 60 years of international experience in all types of technologies on more than 380 reactors worldwide. With 4,600 employees in 15 countries, the Installed Base BU has a strong identity and its vision is to: “Deliver innovative products and services by putting our high-level skills to work to guarantee throughout the world a safe and competitive, low carbon source of energy.” Your work will include:
- Mentor and grow a young engineering team while helping provide technical leadership for the Steam Generator Project.
- Execute existing Steam Generator Replacement Engineering at Bruce Power.
- Liaise with clients and partners to ensure identified solutions meet underlying needs.
- Supervise and mentor the Steam Generator Engineering Design Team in solving unique problems that support production of clean safe reliable power in Ontario.
- Provide knowledge and oversight for engineering deliverables to support plant lifetime operations including design, construction, testing, commissioning, plant operations, maintenance and decommissioning.
- Provide resolution of technical issues during design, installation and commissioning phases of projects.
- Provide resource management, work assignment, and support for proposals and estimating.
- Track and support team performance on schedule and cost metrics.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

- Consulting engineering solutions
- Process Piping Design, including Valves, Pumps, and Heat Exchangers
- Fluid Dynamics, including steady state and dynamic flow analyses
- Machine Design, Solid Mechanics, and Failure Theory, including piping stress analysis and FEA
- Familiarity with/Knowledge of Bruce Power’s systems, processes, and procedures
