What are we hiring for?

We are seeking a Layout & Piping Engineer to join our team in Sizewell to perform layout and piping studies for Framatome Ltd projects and ensure on time and on cost delivery. He also supports the company’s growth and strengthens the technical skills in the layout and piping field.

Key Activities:

  • In close coordination with the Lead Engineer on site, perform layout and piping studies, including site surveys, analysis of input data, clarification requests, identification of interfaces, link with other disciplines.
  • Ensure resolution of open points within the team and participate in resolution of cross‑functional technical issues with multidisciplinary stakeholders, internal or external including the Client.
  • Produce site surveys, isometrics drawings, supports drawings, layout drawings, GA drawings.
  • Support on‑site installation activities.
  • Support the Layout and Piping Discipline Manager for bids: analyse contract requirements, identify appropriate resources, plan work, prepare work packages to subcontract and attend kick‑off meetings with subcontractors.
  • Present and share progress to the Layout and Piping team.
  • Contribute to development of layout and piping skills within Engineering, mentoring newcomers.

Projects outputs: site surveys, 3D‑model, isometrics drawings, supports drawings, layout drawings, general arrangement drawings. Continuous improvement outputs: contributions, suggestions, lessons learnt, experience feedback and continuous improvement actions.

Profile

Training and Development Expectations:

  • Engineer with several years of experience in layout and piping.
  • Software and tools: Microsoft Word/Excel, Autodesk Plant 3D, AutoCAD, E3D/PDMS.
  • Key competencies: Interpersonal and communication skills, proactive, influencing skills, ability to work in a team as well as on own initiative, ability to multi‑task, logical thinking, results focused with ability to meet commitments and deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of standards: BS EN 13445, BS EN 13480, ASME VIII Div. 2, ASME B31.1/3/4.

Person Specification:

  • Experience in layout and piping in industry, ideally in the nuclear industry.
  • Can communicate easily with other disciplines and help solve multi‑disciplinary problems.
