Overview

In this role, you will coordinate safety and quality activities at the Cranfield site and across UK locations, driving continuous HSEQ improvements. You’ll partner with project, engineering and operations teams to ensure compliance and high safety standards within Framatome’s IMS framework. You will report on HSE performance, lead inspections and audits, and advise on RAMS, risk assessments, and quality plans. Your work supports a robust safety culture and regulatory alignment in a highly regulated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate safety and quality activities at the Cranfield site and with other UK sites
  • Develop and implement Continuous Improvement for HSEQ on site
  • Provide on-site guidance on all HSE matters and engage with local management
  • Report HSE KPI performance and organise inspections, audits, and verification checks
  • Provide RAMS consultancy for off-site activities; ensure risk assessments are understood
  • Assist in writing quality plans and oversee their implementation
  • Coach and mentor site supervision in HSE practices; deliver internal training as required
  • Hold regular HSE meetings; network with Framatome and European teams to share best practices

Key requirements

  • IOSH / NEBOSH safety certificate
  • Experience in Accident / Incident Investigation / Problem solving
  • Experience in highly regulated industries; nuclear industry desirable
  • Understanding of nuclear safety culture attributes
  • Demonstrable field engagement
  • Knowledge of performance management techniques and root cause analysis (FMEA, 5 Whys, LEAN, Six Sigma)
  • Excellent team working
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Can-do attitude and initiative
  • RAMS formulation for activities
  • Risk assessments writing and communication
  • Quality plans development and implementation
