We need someone capable of interrogating cost data, identifying emerging issues and opportunities, providing meaningful insight to Project Managers, and driving improved project performance. We therefore need someone who can blend the above budgeting, forecasting and EVM skills with hands-on proactive daily and weekly monitoring of purchase orders, timesheets, expenses and site progress and productivity.

  • Managing the structure and content of SAP projects including creating projects and ensuring project & WBS adherence with business and project standards;
  • Utilising SAP to extract data and produce cost reports across the project portfolio, including centralised reporting such as the PFR/ CCR cycle and Cost of Non Quality (CoNQ);
  • Providing interrogation, assurance and enhanced analysis of cost data on projects, providing consolidated assessments to project, programme and portfolio managers;
  • Being actively involved in the development of estimates and costings for tender projects and maintaining centralised supporting data such as norms and productivity rates;
  • Supporting the implementation and production of project cost management activities and reporting including invoicing, variations, cost v budget/ price, EVM, cashflow;
  • Providing day-to-day cost control support and guidance across all elements of projects and the business.

You will be an experienced Cost Controller or Cost Engineer with a strong background in contractor-side project delivery environments. You will thrive in an environment where processes are still developing and enjoy creating structure, improving ways of working and driving performance improvements.
