The SZC Project, the NSA Consortium Leader Team Technical Directorate is in charge of:

  • Maintaining an overview of the progress of the design and ensure decisions impacting the design are taken in a timely manner
  • Ensuring proper design configuration management and consistency within engineering activities
  • Ensuring that Entities demonstrate proper implementation of requirements, in particular those linked to the Safety Case
  • Delivering the Plant Integration Services

The Consortium LDA (Referential) lead is responsible for the operational aspects necessary to ensure that the LDA process is run effectively and therefore plays a key role in the Organisation. The key duties and responsibilities of the Consortium LDA (Referential) lead are as follows:

  • Produce and manage the yearly SZC LDA
  • Ensure that the LDA evolutions are understood by all entities
  • Share periodically with the Client the progress status of the LDA
  • Report periodically to senior management with regards to the Referential Evolutions or Exemptions
  • Contribute to the bi-annual Design Maturity and Replication Reviews with Project Senior Management
  • As a key contributor to the Project Overall Configuration Management, collaborate closely with the Configuration Team under the supervision of the SZC NSA-C Configuration Manager

In addition, the Consortium LDA (Referential) lead:

  • Ensure that the processes are fit for use and rightly implemented by all SZC Project Stakeholders, both on EDF/Edvance/EPR-E and Client side.
  • Ensure that requests for evolution to the Project LDA, or exemption to the Project LDA, are appropriately managed, and that topics will be mature and ready when No Change Committee endorsement is sought.
  • Support Referential Evolution requesters as per the above objectives
  • Manage the replication of HPC LDA for SZC and act as the Referential Evolution Requester for this activity
  • Prepare and deliver training on the LDA related processes
  • Maintain a live LDA register, recording all the No Change Committee decisions

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Experience (min 5 years) in the nuclear industry with a very good understanding of UK EPR technology
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Knowledge and experience of Technical Integration (architecture, configuration management and associated processes and tools)
  • Ability to handle multiple interfaces and coordinate stakeholders activities within multiple entities
  • Organisational skills, capability to meet commitments and deadlines
  • Leadership skills, pro-activeness
  • Communication & interpersonal skills
  • English - Fluent
