What you’ll be doing… The Consortium Leader (EDF SA), through its project team leading the EDF/Edvance consortium, is responsible for the overall project management and serves as the primary liaison with SZC Ltd. The Technical Directorate team is responsible and accountable for ensuring global design consistency and nuclear safety compliance. Under the NSA, EDF/Edvance is mandated to provide Plant Integration Services, delegated directly by the Employer’s Technical Directorate Engineering Integration branch (TD-EI). Among the services provided under Plant Integration are the coordination of end-to-end configuration, including defining the configuration strategy in the specific context of replication, managing the process of design changes, and their validation in the No Change Committee. Moreover, Plant Integration is also responsible for defining, implementing, and supervising the roll out of the strategies and procedures regarding Data Management and Tools Implementation.

The CALM (Configuration Asset Lifecycle Management) project aims at defining an integrated data centric tool (PLM) to support configuration management across the lifecycle of the project (EPCC). The configuration and replication process owner represents the process stakeholders and is responsible for the implementation of the configuration and replication processes in the PLM. This role sits in the Configuration and Replication team and the role reports to the Configuration Manager.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Supporting the implementation of Configuration and Replication processes within the PLM tool.
  • Participating in PLM workshops where the process implementation is discussed.
  • Leading and preparing deliverables related to the process, as required for workshops (e.g., process modelling).
  • Producing and updating existing process procedures where impacted by the implementation of the new PLM tool.
  • Working closely with the data and tool teams (Solution Architect Manager, data stewards, data engineers) to ensure that data management principles are applied while meeting process requirements.
  • Liaising with the Process Lead and end users to gather operational feedback from the field and ensure that processes and tools meet user needs.
  • Reporting to the Configuration and Replication Manager and flagging any changes in current practices that could have a significant impact on end users.
  • Supporting the change management team to ensure that the change management plan is tailored to the target population and aligned with the scope of the introduced changes.

Profile

Your background may include some of the following (not exhaustive):

  • Experience (min 5 years) in the nuclear industry with a very good understanding of UK EPR technology.
  • Technical Integration / Configuration Management knowledge.
  • Proven experience with configuration management tools (PLM, MANTIS, etc.).
  • Transversal skills:
