The Business Unit Base Installée of Framatome offers a complete and innovative range of solutions and services to ensure the safety and competitiveness of existing and future nuclear fleets. As a world leader in the sector, the Base Installée BU is involved in the maintenance, modernisation, and extension of the operational lifespan of power plants. It also provides solutions for the construction and commissioning of new plants. The mission will take place at the construction site of two nuclear power plants at Hinkley Point C in the United Kingdom, among the most significant construction sites in the world, within teams responsible for the preparation and technical monitoring of the assembly of Framatome's nuclear boiler scope.

The role of the welding engineer includes:

  • Participating in the preparation of files for welding activities and control of the primary circuit.
  • Addressing adaptations and non-conformities arising from the site and proposing solutions.
  • Assisting engineers from other disciplines in resolving multidisciplinary issues.
  • Clarifying and adapting technical specifications as necessary.
  • Leading technical meetings with suppliers or other necessary support entities.
  • Collecting welding feedback.

The welding engineer will work closely with the HPC Assembly Architect, the Primary Assembly Guarantee, and the Welding Guarantee. They will also have numerous interfaces with operational and technical teams on site.

Profile:

  • Engineer IWE or Generalist with knowledge of welding and control topics.
  • Technical English required.
  • Knowledge of EUROCODE and/or RCCM and/or Standards.
  • Basic understanding of IT tools (AUTOCAD, PDMS, Navisworks).
  • Basic knowledge of the nuclear or industrial field.
  • Ability to meet commitments and deadlines.
  • Good relational and communication skills, ability to manage numerous interfaces, synthesis skills, practical sense, and initiative.

Location: United Kingdom, Bridgwater, Hinkley Point C

Occasional travel required.

Contract duration: 12 months

Minimum education level required: Bac+5

Minimum experience level required: Beginner
