Description of the mission
Your missions:
- Plan the needs for inspectors based on the progress of the work
- Carry out and/or supervise non-destructive testing (NDT) operations subcontracted on site
- Write and validate test and inspection reports
- Ensure technical follow-up of NDT controls (analysis of radiographs, compliance with procedures, completeness of controls performed, etc.)
- Guarantee, in connection with the site's logistics, the availability and management of inspection equipment
Follow-up & coordination:
- Participate in weekly internal progress meetings (EM2)
- Produce a weekly report for headquarters (activity tracking and issue management)
- Examine and validate technical documents produced or modified by the Methods team on site
- Ensure proper updating of work tracking documents by field teams
- Ensure the transmission of notifications to control bodies (clients)
Quality & compliance:
- Contribute to the reception of equipment, materials, and consumables
- Participate in the validation of quality plans (pre-acceptance)
- Support the opening and processing of non-conformities, discrepancies, and observations
- Assist the Methods teams in compiling end-of-work files
- Collect and structure documents ensuring compliance of achievements (tracking files, records, internal/external validations)
- Validate concrete pouring authorisations before issuance
Continuous improvement & management:
- Capitalize on feedback to optimise assembly operations
- Ensure management and tracking of calibrated equipment and instruments
- Supervise the teams made available and ensure contractual follow-up of NDT subcontractors
Your profile:
General engineer or quality control manager with solid experience in non-destructive testing (NDT) in nuclear power plants. Excellent mastery of applicable construction and inspection codes as well as requirements imposed by the project client.
Desired qualifications:
- COFREND level 3 in radiography (RT) and COFREND level 2 in ultrasonics (UT)
- Ability to manage multicultural teams (expatriate and local staff) as well as subcontractors
- Aptitude to establish quality working relationships with various interfaces: internal teams, client representatives, safety authorities, subcontractors, and local service providers
- Rigour, demand, and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to manage contracts, respect budgets, and produce structured reports
- Essential mastery of English
