Framatome Ltd’s delivery organisation is made up of three Business Lines: New Build Projects, Engineering Projects, and Existing Fleet Services. Across these areas, the company delivers a wide range of activities including design and engineering, testing and validation of components and systems, manufacturing of steel-based products, as well as site installation and maintenance services for both new nuclear build projects and existing nuclear fleets.

As part of the company’s continued growth, the QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety and Environment) function supports Framatome Ltd’s operations in the UK while also working closely with the wider Framatome Group. The QHSE team is responsible for ensuring the business operates safely, meets regulatory requirements, and continues to improve its management systems and processes.

Key responsibilities of the QHSE function include:

  • Supporting and developing the QHSE team in line with business needs;
  • Managing Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and Radioprotection processes, systems, tools and reporting requirements;
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of company management systems and procedures;
  • Promoting and maintaining a strong nuclear safety culture across the organisation and supply chain partners;
  • Assisting with the implementation of Group-wide QHSE initiatives and programmes;
  • Supporting compliance with industry standards and certifications including ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO19443;
  • Coordinating assurance activities such as internal audits, supplier audits and compliance reviews;
  • Providing advice and support to senior leadership to help ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and regulatory requirements, including CDM regulations.

This role will support the day-to-day coordination of HSE activities within the New Build Projects team, helping to ensure health and safety standards are maintained across operational and project activities. You will work closely with project teams, site teams, and internal stakeholders to support HSE compliance, reporting, audits, and continuous improvement activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting HSE activities across projects and operational teams;
  • Assisting with RAMS, ITPs, audits, inspections, and related documentation;
  • Supporting incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions;
  • Monitoring HSE actions and KPIs;
  • Assisting with continuous improvement and compliance activities;
  • Supporting HSE input into tenders and project mobilisation.

What are we looking for? We are looking for a proactive HSE professional with experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or other operational environments.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience in an HSE support or coordination role;
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification;
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 and HSE management systems;
  • Experience supporting audits, inspections, and incident investigations;
  • Understanding of CDM regulations and safe working practices;
  • Strong communication and organisational skills;
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.

Experience within nuclear, manufacturing, or construction environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
