The Configuration Coordinator supports and reports to the Configuration and Replication Manager. Responsibilities include:

  • Documentation & Guidance
    • Ensuring that Configuration Management processes from both SZC EI TD and NSA (plans, procedures, manuals, guidance) are fit for use through self-assessment and updated according to the SA outcomes.
    • Ensuring that Configuration management processes are consistent with Replication Processes, liaising with relevant team members.
    • Providing advice to engineers on configuration-related topics.
  • Process implementation
    • Contribute to the implementation of the existing configuration management process in alignment with the overall SZC configuration strategy.
    • Develop and maintain training packs in line with the process and ensure rolling out training sessions.
  • Tool Development & Monitoring
    • Support the definition, implementation, and development of tools to monitor configuration management KPIs (for OPs/DCs).
  • KPI Reporting
    • Produce KPIs regularly to inform project stakeholders. Global configuration KPIs will be compiled and presented by the PI team in relevant governance meetings.
    • Assess KPIs and manage follow-up interactions with stakeholders to ensure project and configuration objectives are met.
  • Committee Coordination (NCC/TDF)
    • Act as secretary for the client's No Change Committee (NCC) and Technical Direction Forum (TDF), including:
      • Ensuring committee materials are fit for purpose and aligned with processes.
      • Facilitating stakeholder interactions as needed.
      • Ensuring the 'replication' option is duly considered.
      • Performing readiness checks for all topics prior to NCC and pre-NCC meetings.
      • Ensuring at the beginning of the NCC that all required attendees are present.
      • Managing agendas, invitations, room bookings, etc. Agendas must be validated with the SZC Co-Employer one week before the meeting via the pre-NCC.
      • Writing and distributing meeting minutes within one week, with official distribution no later than three weeks post-meeting.
      • Managing and recording actions and their progress.
      • Performing equivalent tasks for pre-NCC and TDF meetings.
  • Interfaces
    • To perform these activities, there is a strong interface with:
      • Configuration engineers from the entities who will be performing the process.
      • The employer EI TD who is accountable for the approval of procedures that apply to the SZC project.
      • SZC Information Management lead: key stakeholder in the configuration management through responsibility in the management of information (Data) within SZC.
      • The Employer who chairs the NCC/TTDF committee.
      • The Employer Programmes, DA, TCO… who will present topics in committees.
      • The NSA Consortium engineering entities who will support topics in committees.
  • Profile
    • Experience (min 5 years) in the nuclear industry with a very good understanding of UK EPR technology.
    • Knowledge of Technical Integration, especially Configuration Management and associated processes and tools.
    • Transverse skills:
      • Management skills.
      • Ability to handle multiple interfaces and coordinate stakeholders activities within multiple entities.
      • Organisational skills, capability to meet commitments and deadlines.
      • Leadership, pro-activeness.
      • Communication & interpersonal skills.
      • English - fluent.
