We have an exciting opportunity to join our IT team at Framatome UK! We are currently seeking an IT Co-ordinator to join our team in Avonmouth to support with the successful planning, governance, delivery and continuous improvement of IT projects and initiatives. Working across business and technology teams, the IT Co-ordinator ensures projects are delivered efficiently, transparently and in line with business objectives and IT strategy.
What will you be doing?
- Project Coordination & Delivery
- Coordinating the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects and work streams
- Support Project Managers and IT leadership in managing project schedules, milestones, deliverables and dependencies
- Tracking project progress and ensuring timely completion of agreed actions
- Maintaining project documentation, including project plans, RAID logs, status reports and governance artefacts
- Facilitating project meetings, workshops, and steering committees, documenting actions and decisions
- Monitoring project risks, issues and changes, escalating where needed
- Supporting resource planning and capacity management activities across the IT portfolio
- Delivery Framework & Governance
- Champion adherence to IT project delivery methodologies, governance and best practice
- Ensuring projects comply with established delivery frameworks, stage gates and approval processes
- Maintaining governance documentation, templates, reporting standards and project controls
- Supporting portfolio reporting by consolidating project status updates, KPIs, milestones and delivery metrics
- Supporting audit, compliance and regulatory requirements relating to project delivery activities
- Driving continuous improvement of project management processes and delivery governance
- Assisting in the development and implementation of PMO and project governance frameworks
- Stakeholder Management
- Building strong working relationships with different stakeholders
- Acting as a central point of coordination between project teams, users, vendors, and leadership
- Informing stakeholders of progress, risks, issues, and decisions
- Facilitating effective communication across departments and organisational levels
- Supporting stakeholder engagement activities, including requirements gathering, impact assessments and change planning
- Managing meetings schedules and communication plans
- Vendor & Third-Party Coordination
- Coordinating activities with technology vendors and external service providers
- Monitoring supplier deliverables against agreed timelines and requirements
- Supporting contract, service review and performance tracking activities where required
- Escalating supplier issues and risks to project and IT leadership teams
- Reporting & Administration
- Producing regular project status reports and executive summaries
- Maintaining project repositories and document management systems
- Ensuring accuracy and completeness of project records and governance documentation
- Supporting budget tracking, purchase requests and project financial reporting where required
- Providing administrative support to project boards and governance forums
What are we looking for?
Essential
- Experience coordinating IT projects, programmes, or technology initiatives
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
- Excellent stakeholder management
- Communication skills and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and planning abilities
- Experience managing risks, issues, actions, and dependencies
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint
Desirable
- Experience within a PMO or IT delivery function
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management processes
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Monday.com, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project or COEDM3
Professional certifications such as: PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner, Agile Foundation or Scrum certification, PMQ, PMP, or equivalent ITIL Foundation.
