Due to our ongoing growth, we are recruiting a Technical Reviewer to support our team in Hinkley Point C.
The Technical Reviewer supports the Quality Process by compiling, reviewing and co-ordinating documentation submitted as part of project life time quality records (LTQR) or project process/procedure/Instruction.
Technical Reviewers have an involvement in the transition and application of new systems and software. This supports the continual improvement objectives of the business.
Your Responsibilities:

  • To review and comment on various documents submitted by multiple functions, i.e. QA-QC Depts, for the project/contract as required.
  • Review, compile, co-ordinate & archive Life time Quality Records (LTQR) and Quality Release Certificates (QRC).
  • Identify and implement the hierarchical structure and processes for the set-up of Projects / work scopes on various electronic tools.
  • Reviewing electronic inspection records that are held on standalone systems.
  • Keeping trackers for all quality and inspection records reviewed/submitted and comments raised.
  • Review of internal documentation. i.e. internal instructions/procedures.
  • Update documents where technical and non-technical edit is required and re-issue for submission
  • Setting up systems for performance management i.e. Create, monitor and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPI) on the Right First-Time (RFT) objectives with document submissions.
  • Communicate with Project Managers, Engineers, Project Engineers and subcontractors surrounding relevant edits required for uploaded documentation.
  • Support Document Controllers in the submission of deliverables.
  • Support the transition and application of new systems and software for record management.
  • Support the Supervising Technical Co-ordinator in completing various tasks.

You are
Required Attributes:

  • NVQ 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in document control and/or administration.
  • Good understanding of document management systems.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft software and IT in general.
  • Lead and foster a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.
  • Enthusiastic about working within a highly skilled industrial and office environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including presenting.
  • Able to demonstrate accountability for their own actions and take responsibility.
  • Highly organised with attention to detail.
  • Business level English written and verbal.

Desired Attributes:

  • Level 3 in an engineering discipline.
  • A- Levels in Science, Maths, IT or English.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor Qualification.
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems.
  • Understanding of welding.
  • Understanding of engineering principles.
  • Understanding how to read Engineering Drawings and Weld Maps.
  • Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing.
