Framatome is one the main contractors for the construction of Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant, overseeing the design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of primary circuit components.

Based on Hinkley Point Construction Site, Bridgwater.

10/4 working pattern to include weekend working.

  • Misson, Responsibilites & Competencies
  • Reporting to the Project Health Safety and Environmental Manager on Health Safety and Environmental issues, performance and areas that require improvement,
  • Producing reports as required to the Project Health Safety and Environmental Manager
  • Support Framatomes Site Supervision in Occupational Health Safety and Environmental Matters,
  • Co-ordination and co-operation with the Principal Contractor,
  • Support Framatomes Subcontractors and others as necessary on Health Safety and Environmental issues,
  • Monitoring compliance with, and enforcing, site safety rules and procedures,
  • Ensuring adherence / compliance with UK Legislation & regulations and the clients procedures and standards,
  • Reviewing method statements and risk assessments including Framatome's subcontractors' documentation,
  • Monitoring Subcontractors' activities against approved method statements and risk assessments,
  • Attend daily Health Safety and Environment Morning / End of day meetings,
  • Attend Health Safety and Environment Team briefs,
  • Performing any required investigations into Accidents or Near Misses,
  • Carry out onsite work place inspections
  • Profile
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years working as an Occupational Health Safety Advisor
  • Results Driven.
  • Pragmatism.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • English Level - Mother tongue.
  • Capable of finding solutions, particularly when changes are required to ensure safe working practices and safe behaviours.
  • Strong interpersonal skill, with the ability to work as a team or alone.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of all the Microsoft office packages
  • NEBOSH National General in Occupational Safety and Health
  • NEBOSH National Construction in Occupational Safety and Health
