We have an exciting opportunity to join our IT team at Framatome UK! We are currently seeking an IT Apprentice to join our team in Avonmouth to support various projects and daily activities, learning foundational skills in IT systems, data analysis, process improvement, and business communication. This is an ideal entry-level position for individuals eager to launch a career at the intersection of technology and business.
What will you be doing?
- Technical Support: Provide first-line support for IT-related issues, escalating complex problems to senior IT staff.
- System Administration Support: Assist with basic system maintenance, user account management, and software installations.
- Data Management: Support data entry, data cleansing, and basic report generation from various business systems.
- Documentation: Help maintain IT documentation, including user guides, process flows, and system configurations.
- Hardware & Software: Assist with the setup, deployment, and inventory management of IT hardware and software.
Key Outputs:
- Process Analysis: Support the analysis of existing business processes, identifying areas for efficiency and improvement.
- Project Support: Assist project managers with administrative tasks, scheduling, and tracking project progress.
- Data Analysis: Contribute to the collection and analysis of business data to support decision-making.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between IT and business departments, translating technical concepts into business terms and vice-versa.

What are we looking for?
- Education: Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 (C) or above, including English and Maths, or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly.
- Problem-Solving: A logical and analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Training & Development expectations: The successful candidate will undertake a structured apprenticeship program, leading to a recognised qualification.
