We are partnering with a highly regarded investment firm to appoint a Team Manager within their Internal Sales division. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced people leader to join a collaborative and growth-focused business, leading a team of Business Development Managers and Business Development Associates. This role is central to driving operational excellence, coaching high performance, and ensuring the consistent execution of the firm’s sales strategy. Importantly, this is a pure management position with no personal sales or distribution responsibility. Success in the role will be measured entirely on the performance, development, and engagement of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of BDMs and BDAs on a day-to-day basis
  • Drive a high-performance culture focused on proactive sales activity and quality client engagement
  • Monitor team performance, productivity, and service standards against agreed KPIs
  • Support the execution of strategic initiatives set by the Head of Internal Sales
  • Deliver regular coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members
  • Ensure operational consistency, process adherence, and best practice across the team
  • Identify development opportunities and support ongoing training initiatives
  • Act as a role model for professionalism, collaboration, and operational excellence
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to support wider business objectives

About You

  • Previous experience managing or leading sales, business development, or client service teams within financial services
  • Investment management, wealth management, or broader financial services experience is highly desirable
  • Strong coaching and people development capability
  • Ability to motivate teams and drive performance in a structured environment
  • Organised, proactive, and operationally focused
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
