Fram is working with a business that is looking to engage with a Corporate Tax Manager to support early-stage and growth companies raising capital under the EIS and SEIS regimes. The role can be based remotely or in person and offers the opportunity to specialise in a highly technical area that sits at the centre of the UK's startup and venture capital ecosystem.
The role is focused on the company side of EIS and SEIS rather than personal tax. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing company eligibility
- Preparing Advance Assurance applications
- Managing HMRC submissions
- Overseeing EIS1 and SEIS1 compliance statements
- Guiding businesses through the requirements needed to obtain and retain EIS and SEIS approval
There is regular interaction with founders and management teams, helping them navigate the practical and technical aspects of the legislation. Alongside client work, there is the opportunity to help develop internal processes and improve how EIS and SEIS work is delivered as the business continues to grow.
The role combines technical expertise with client engagement and would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of work from initial discussions through to HMRC approval and ongoing compliance. This may appeal to someone with strong practical experience of EIS and SEIS who is looking for a role with genuine ownership and variety. Previous experience preparing Advance Assurance applications and managing the company compliance process is essential. The role would suit someone who enjoys working directly with entrepreneurial businesses and maintaining high technical standards within a commercially focused environment.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
