Overview
Experience: 4+ years in luxury design (fragrance, beauty, or fashion)
We are seeking an experienced Brand Packaging Designer to join our in-house team. This role is central to how our brand is experienced – from the precision of a packaging finish to the drama of a retail installation. You will be fluent in the language of luxury, with the technical knowledge to take a concept from sketch to shelf, and the creative ambition to shape a fragrance brand with international reach.
Responsibilities
Concept Development
- Create bold, luxury-driven packaging and retail concepts that embody the brand’s DNA.
- Translate creative direction into innovative sketches, mock-ups, and digital designs for packaging, POS, and retail environments.
Design Creation
- Deliver high-quality 2D artwork and 3D retail concepts using Adobe Creative Suite and (ideally) CAD/3D software.
- Develop visual identities across packaging formats – from bottles and boxes to limited editions and gift sets – always pushing boundaries of finish and form.
Packaging & Production Expertise
- Combine aesthetic vision with technical accuracy, ensuring packaging is functional, manufacturable, and compliant with regulations.
- Prepare precise, print-ready artwork files and liaise directly with global production partners and print houses.
- Create and refine prototypes or 3D mock-ups, anticipating challenges before mass production.
Global Retail Design
- Conceptualise windows, CTUs, pop-ups, and in-store installations that balance creativity with commercial impact.
- Partner with Global marketing and retail teams to ensure consistency across global markets, adapting designs to local needs without losing brand equity.
Collaboration & Brand Integration
- Work hand-in-hand with marketing, NPD, and operations to deliver cohesive brand experiences across packaging and retail.
- Present concepts with confidence and clarity, ensuring buy-in from stakeholders and alignment with brand strategy.
Research & Trend Insight
- Track design and material innovation within luxury fragrance, beauty, and fashion.
- Maintain a sharp awareness of competitor landscapes, cultural trends, and consumer behaviours that influence design choices.
Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years’ experience in packaging and/or retail design within luxury fragrance, beauty, or fashion.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); 3D/CAD software a strong plus.
- Material knowledge – deep understanding of substrates, finishes, foils, embossing, glasswork, and how they elevate luxury design.
- Production awareness – expertise in printing processes, dyelines, and structural packaging mechanics.
- Proven ability to take a project from concept through to global roll-out, managing multiple timelines and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail – uncompromising standards in artwork accuracy and design execution.
- Strong communicator – able to collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and global retail partners.
- Brand fluency – intuitive ability to translate brand positioning into packaging and retail design that resonates with discerning consumers.
- Understanding of sustainable design practices and how to integrate them without compromising luxury.
