Overview
Contract: Full time, permanent
Team: UK Inbound
Office Location: 1st Floor, 95 Gresham Street, London EC2V 7NA, United Kingdom
The role
You will primarily be engaged in UK immigration transactional work, including advising on, preparing, and submitting visa applications, while also offering advice on right-to-work compliance and broader strategic immigration matters. Client relationships are central to this role; you will function as a trusted partner and may have opportunities to support clients in person, including on-site or through strategic planning meetings.
You will act as the day-to-day lead for a portfolio of strategically important global clients spanning legal, defence, asset and investment management, private equity, hedge funds, financial services, technology, infrastructure and outsourcing, and regulated multinational corporates. These clients range from highly protocol-driven, high-volume programmes to bespoke, high-touch advisory accounts. You will be responsible for managing operational delivery, providing trusted strategic advice, and acting as a key escalation point for immigration, compliance and workforce planning matters.
Several of these relationships involve close collaboration with senior in-house stakeholders, HR, mobility, compliance and legal teams, as well as responsibility for shaping and evolving UK and EMEA immigration programmes, including campus hiring, policy change response, and data-led decision making.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable stepping beyond their comfort zone and taking on diverse work types, including private client and sponsor licence matters, while remaining agile and resilient, particularly during seasonal high caseload periods, such as graduate/campus intakes. The role requires confidence operating across multiple sectors simultaneously, with the ability to pivot between high-volume institutional clients and complex, bespoke advisory matters.
You will also be encouraged to cross-sell Fragomen’s wider services, including technology platforms such as WorkRight, Nomadic etc, to support client evolution and long-term partnerships.
Team
Our UK Inbound team is a diverse group comprising experienced Directors, Managers, Associates, and Consultants. With an entrepreneurial mindset, the team constantly innovates to provide industry-leading immigration support. As part of the team, you will work alongside highly experienced professionals and gain exposure to senior management and partners both in the UK and globally.
Sitting within Fragomen’s UK Inbound practice, Team Optics supports a wide portfolio of clients (from major multinational financial institutions to SMEs, scale-ups, start-ups and private individuals, across a variety of sectors). This includes some of the firm’s largest and most strategically significant clients. The team’s UK and EMEA-wide remit is unique within the practice and enables team members to operate fluidly across jurisdictions and sectors, often leading initiatives later replicated firmwide.
The work is varied and engaging. The team handles corporate immigration, compliance, private client, and global talent/start-up focused applications, including Global Talent endorsements, Innovator visas, and sponsor licence applications. They also maintain strong links with accelerator programmes and help fast-growing businesses navigate complex immigration milestones.
