The role

We have an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced Senior HR Manager or HR Business Partner to join us as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across the UK and Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Poland), operating within a complex, multi-country environment. This is a senior, strategic role that combines strong commercial judgement with deep HR expertise to drive organisational effectiveness and business performance. The role leads on-the-ground HR Advisors in Frankfurt and Warsaw; you will work in close collaboration with HR colleagues across EMEA including our Centres of Excellence across Talent Development, Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards to deliver high-quality, consistent, and scalable people solutions aligned to business priorities.

The team

Our EMEA HR team consists of over 30 dedicated professionals based in various locations across EMEA. Together, we provide dynamic and engaging support for the Firm's diverse HR needs.

What your day will look like

  • Partnering with senior leaders to shape, advise and deliver on people strategies aligned to business objectives across Europe
  • Leading and delivering complex people initiatives that enhance organisational effectiveness, performance, and scalability
  • Providing expert guidance on employee relations, employment legislation, consultation processes, and organisational change
  • Leading, developing, and supporting HR team members in your team, ensuring strong operational delivery and a positive employee experience
  • Collaborating closely with the HR Centres of Excellence and EMEA HR colleagues to ensure consistency, insight sharing, and best practice
  • Using data and insight to inform decisions, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement
  • Acting as a calm and credible escalation point for complex or high-risk people matters

What we are looking for

  • Significant experience in a senior HR Manager or HR Business Partner role within a multi-country European environment within a global legal or professional services environment
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and employee relations in Germany and Poland (experience in Switzerland highly desirable; UK exposure an advantage)
  • Proven experience leading and developing HR professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and challenge senior leaders with credibility
  • Experience managing complex change, restructuring, and sensitive employee relations matters
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to balance compliance, risk, and business priorities
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, who is highly collaborative, with exceptional relationship management skills at all levels
  • Excellent organisation skills and experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • HR or relevant qualifications
