A well-established property management and lettings business in London SE1, with approximately £6.5 million in turnover and around 80 staff, is seeking a hands-on fractional Finance Director. The business currently manages bookkeeping in-house but requires stronger financial leadership, more efficient processes, and better-structured reporting to lenders.
The engagement is fractional and part-time, with on-site presence in SE1 preferred and some hybrid flexibility available. There is potential for an ongoing advisory or Non-Executive Director role alongside the fractional engagement for the right candidate.
- Provide strategic financial leadership and oversight of the finance function
- Review and improve bookkeeping and management reporting processes, including assessing offshore or outsourced transactional support options
- Strengthen and streamline lender reporting
- Support property acquisitions by providing financial input and due diligence
- Advise on financial controls, cash flow management and cost efficiency
- Work closely with the leadership team to inform strategic decision-making
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant FD or CFO-level experience
- Strong track record in property management, lettings or the broader real estate sector
- Experience supporting property acquisitions and conducting related financial due diligence
- Proven ability to improve finance function efficiency, including outsourcing or offshoring of transactional processes
- Confident advising at board level; NED experience or interest is a plus
- Available to start at short notice and comfortable working predominantly on-site
