We are seeking a highly driven senior consultant/analyst with strong hands-on technical expertise and solid Financial Services and banking domain experience. This role requires end-to-end ownership of data-driven initiatives, from data extraction through advanced analytics, insight generation, and stakeholder presentation. The successful candidate will operate at pace, influence decision-making, and translate data into actionable commercial outcomes—driving increased wallet share, growing market share, and designing and delivering intuitive self-serve dashboards for business users.
Roles and Responsibilities- Lead and manage end-to-end analytical projects, including brainstorming, solution design, analytical approach, scoping, timelines, delivery, and transition based on business and client requirements.
- Perform advanced data mining, manipulation, and transformation using internal and external data sources.
- Conduct reconciliation, data validation, and quality checks as standard practice using appropriate internal and external data sources.
- Identify and define key data points and metrics required to support analytical objectives.
- Deliver customer profiling, segmentation, and conversion analysis to support marketing and commercial initiatives.
- Design, execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns, including target audience selection, proposition design, testing frameworks (A/B, multivariate testing), and measurement of results with statistical significance.
- Develop business reporting and data visualisations to clearly communicate insights and performance.
- Apply predictive, performance, and profitability analytics to support business cases and decision-making.
- Demonstrate understanding of banking profitability, including revenue, cost drivers, and value measurement.
- Support debit payments and current account analytics (UK Financial Services context preferred).
- Drive optimisation and automation of data pipelines, reports, and analytical processes.
- Present insights confidently to senior stakeholders and support decision-making through data-driven storytelling.
- Solid understanding of Financial Services fundamentals, Banking analytics and commercial metrics - mandatory.
- Hands-on coding experience Python, SQL, Pyspark - mandatory.
- Strong expertise in SQL-based analytics and complex querying.
- Expertise in predictive, performance, and modelling techniques.
- Experience with data mining, manipulation, and large-scale datasets.
- Knowledge of cloud concepts on GCP for data retrieval and data movement – good to have.
- BI and Tableau skills – good to have.
- Confident and articulate communicator with strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex analytical outputs into clear business insights.
- Strong project management capability with the ability to deliver at pace in dynamic environments.
- Commercial mindset with a focus on value creation and business outcomes.
- Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Collaborative team player with a consultancy-oriented approach to problem solving.
