About the role

The role is for leading a testing of a large-scale migration program for one of our esteemed clients. The candidate is required to be at the client office at least 3 days a week. The test manager is required to work with the multi-vendor team, however, would be owning the overall responsibility of the QA sign off and delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the overall testing strategy, plans, and execution across projects for a large scale project.
  • Handle the multi-vendor test team to deliver the project with utmost quality.
  • Responsible for overall delivery of the large migration program.
  • Coordinate test teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of testing activities.
  • Define test scope, objectives, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee test design, test execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with development, product, and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are testable and met.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and quality metrics to management.
  • Reduce defect leakage to UAT/production and own the QA KPIs on quality.
  • Measure the improvements and present to the client.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software testing with prior experience in a test leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and defect management processes.
  • Proven experience in handling large scale QA programs.
  • Experience in bringing/building QA frameworks to fast track the QA cycles.
  • Experience managing teams and working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL for testing and analysis.
  • Exposure to testing in data migration and familiarity with different test approaches used for migration validation.
  • Thorough knowledge of testing and defect management lifecycle.
  • Clear understanding of AWS ecosystem and data-related services such as S3, Glue, etc.
  • Knowledge of insurance domain is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Python, Pytest, and other common tools used for data testing automation.
  • Experience in automating parts of data validation using dataframes and Python setup.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills to collaborate with engineering, support teams, and business users to define test cases and execute data validations.
  • Contribute to performance testing (e.g., load testing) to validate data handling under stress.
  • Contribute to test automation frameworks where applicable.
