Role Details: We are seeking a Technical Implementation Project Manager with deep payments domain expertise to act as an embedded implementation lead within the delivery team. This role is responsible for driving end-to-end implementation activities across business, technology, processor stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery of certification, testing, tokenization, settlement, and production readiness milestones.

Domain Experience:

  • Strong experience within Payments, Cards, Banking, or Financial Services.
  • Experience managing card issuing, processor migration, or payment implementation programs.
  • Deep understanding of implementation/integration processes and operating models.
  • Experience working with issuers, processors, card schemes, and payment technology providers.
  • Exposure to large-scale payment platform implementations and production migrations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end execution of implementation activities across issuers, processor, technology, and business teams.
  • Drive planning, execution, governance, and delivery of key workstreams including: Host Certification, Tokenisation, Clearing & Settlement, Testing and Production Readiness & Cutover.
  • Act as the primary coordination point between architects, engineers, processors, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage implementation dependencies, risks, issues, and critical-path activities while driving timely resolution.
  • Facilitate discussions and decision-making across implementation teams, processor teams, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Track certification progress, testing outcomes, settlement readiness, tokenization onboarding, and post-launch stabilization activities.
  • Ensure alignment and execution across multiple concurrent workstreams and delivery teams.
  • Translate complex technical requirements into actionable delivery plans and milestones.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of payment processing ecosystems and card issuing platforms, processor integrations, and payment lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of host certification, connectivity, scheme testing, tokenisation, and production readiness.
  • Familiarity with API integrations and payment architecture concepts.
  • Experience working with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Expertise in risk management, stakeholder management, and delivery governance.
  • Ability to manage technical delivery across engineering, architecture, and operational teams.
  • Strong program planning, dependency management, and implementation governance skills.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
