ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Consultant in Data Governance, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our clients—helping them deploy and maximize Big ID to tackle complex data discovery, privacy compliance, and security challenges.
You will work across diverse client environments, translating regulatory requirements into actionable data governance frameworks and driving measurable outcomes for CISOs, DPOs, and CDOs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consulting & Advisory
- Lead end‑to‑end Big ID implementations for enterprise clients across industries
- Act as primary point of contact for client stakeholders (CISOs, DPOs, Legal, IT)
- Conduct current‑state assessments and deliver data governance roadmaps
- Facilitate workshops on data classification, privacy risk, and compliance readiness
- Platform Delivery
- Configure Big ID for data discovery, classification, DSR automation, and risk scoring
- Integrate Big ID with client data ecosystems—cloud, on‑prem, Saa S (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake)
- Build client‑specific dashboards, reports, and automated policy workflows
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and escalations with minimal oversight
- Regulatory & Compliance
- Map client data flows to GDPR, DPDP, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 obligations
- Support Ro PA, DPIA, and PIA documentation for client compliance programs
- Advise on data retention, deletion, and breach notification protocols
- TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Big ID Platform: data discovery & scanning, classification policies, DSR/DSAR automation, risk & privacy modules, Open SDK, APIs, custom app development
- Data & Cloud SQL / No SQL databases—Snowflake; cloud platforms: AWS (S3, RDS, Glue), Azure (ADLS, Purview), GCP (Big Query)
- Data cataloguing tools—Collibra, Alation, Informatica
- ETL pipelines and data lineage concepts
- SIEM / DLP tools integration (Splunk, Microsoft Purview)
- Identity & Access Management basics (IAM, RBAC)
- Encryption, tokenization, data masking techniques
- Python / Bash scripting for automation and data profiling; REST API integration and JSON/XML handling
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years in data governance, privacy, or information security
- 4+ years in a client‑facing consulting or professional services role
- Proven Big ID deployment experience (end‑to‑end preferred)
- Track record managing complex, multi‑stakeholder engagements
- Must-have knowledge of GDPR, DPDP Act, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA—practical application
- Data classification frameworks and metadata management
- Cloud‑native data architectures and hybrid environments
CERTIFICATIONS (PREFFERED)
- Big ID Certified Professional
- CIPP/E, CIPM (IAPP)
- SOFT SKILLS
- Exceptional client communication—written, verbal, executive presentations
- Consultative problem‑solving and conflict resolution
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
