Trinity Claims is a leading claims management company located in Tonbridge. We have a team of talented professionals with diverse skill sets and extensive experience in delivering claims management excellence in leading insurance companies.
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Litigation Paralegal at Trinity Claims. The Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for handling day-to-day tasks such as legal document preparation, document review, legal research, and drafting pleadings and motions. This role is primarily located in Tonbridge, with flexibility for some remote work.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct the litigation of claims arising under Motor and Household policies, predominantly Claimant actions.
- Manage your own case load under supervision.
- Review documents and advise on liability, quantum, and strategy.
- Conduct investigations including document searches.
- Carry out legal research.
- Instruct experts and counsel as required, or refer to the Head of Legal as appropriate.
- Draft pleadings, applications, and statements.
- Attend court as necessary.
- Participate in settlement negotiations and ADR.
- Maintain an effective claims handling and diarising system.
- Report internally on a regular basis with KPIs.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Relevant legal qualifications, including a law degree and/or legal practice course.
- At least 1 year’s experience of handling litigation, preferably within the insurance sector.
- Good understanding of Court Procedure Rules and litigation management.
- Proven capability of claims negotiation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Accurate with a high level of attention to detail.
- Tact and assertiveness when dealing with third parties and opponents.
