Matthews Legal solicitors, based in Wem, Shropshire, is seeking an experienced paralegal to work in the Family Department. Familiarity with LEAP is an advantage. Part time, work from home - we are as friendly and flexible as you are.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation
  • Draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and appeals
  • Maintain and organise legal files and documents
  • Assist in case preparation for court hearings and trials
  • Communicate with clients and other professionals to gather information
  • Manage correspondence and communication with clients and external parties
  • Provide administrative support to lawyers, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars

Qualifications

  • Proficient in IT applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Ideally have used Leap software previously
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Previous experience working in a legal office environment is advantageous
  • Organisational skills to manage legal documents and files effectively
