Matthews Legal solicitors, based in Wem, Shropshire, is seeking an experienced paralegal to work in the Family Department. Familiarity with LEAP is an advantage. Part time, work from home - we are as friendly and flexible as you are.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation
- Draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and appeals
- Maintain and organise legal files and documents
- Assist in case preparation for court hearings and trials
- Communicate with clients and other professionals to gather information
- Manage correspondence and communication with clients and external parties
- Provide administrative support to lawyers, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
Qualifications
- Proficient in IT applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook
- Ideally have used Leap software previously
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Previous experience working in a legal office environment is advantageous
- Organisational skills to manage legal documents and files effectively
