Walker Laird Solicitors are expanding our private client department and providing an exciting opportunity for an experienced paralegal to join our Private Client team in the Renfrewshire area. We are looking for an individual who can work on their own case load and when required work effectively with junior and senior colleagues.
We would like to speak to paralegals or Solicitors (2yrs PQE+) who have experience in the following practices:
- Estate planning
- Will drafting
- Power of attorney drafting
- Trust drafting
- Dealing with the administration of executries and trusts
- Tax mitigation
Candidates should have the following skills:
- Provide good written and oral communication to clients and colleagues
- Self motivation and driven
- An understanding of fees and department targets
- Applied knowledge at Paralegal or STEP Member level
Walker Laird would have the following expectations of any successful candidate(s):
- Meet firm standards with drafting legal documents and attention to detail
- Good organisational skills for providing an excellent client service
- Be comfortable with a case management system, IT and time recording (although training can be provided)
- Meet deadlines given by clients and senior colleagues
The successful candidate will be working as part of a friendly team supported by their private client colleagues, Head of Department and our senior partners. We are an ambitious, friendly firm and employ more than 50 staff across two offices.
