Our client is an award-winning, full service, commercial law firm and they are rapidly developing a national reputation for its innovative approach to delivering legal services. They operate in the financial services, leisure, retail & consumer goods, technology & media, renewables, housing and public sectors. Their specialisms are real estate, banking and finance, commercial, corporate, employment, dispute resolution and litigation.
On behalf of our client we are seeking a Paralegal Team Leader on a 12 month contract. In this role your responsibility will be to manage and supervise a small team of Legal Administrators and support the Operations Manager in their team in Central Bristol. This is a junior management position overseeing a small team of Legal Administrators and ensuring effective collaboration, task performance, and professional development.
In this role your responsibilities will include:
- Line management of up to 10 Legal Administrators including performance management, career development, discipline and welfare support with HR.
- Actively manage work levels, quality and resources.
- Monitor and supervise the quality and completion of tasks.
- Actively monitor Section MI, identify patterns/trends.
- Holding regular team meetings ensuring that the team are kept updated.
- Support the Operations manager to develop talent within the team by identifying individual potential.
- Supporting team members in achieving agreed objectives through delegation, coaching, mentoring and training.
- Support the Operations Manager with the training and induction of new starters.
- Take ownership of knowledge management and query log and escalate any queries that require further review.
For this role, our client is looking for someone who has legal paralegal experience with some experience of supervising or training. In addition to this they are seeking the following skills and experience:
- Legal experience preferred.
- The ability to understand and apply different task processes.
- Experience with Legal or banking case management systems (not essential).
- Experience working in a paralegal role (ideally this would be in real estate or conveyancing or a litigation department, but not essential).
The Benefits: Contributory Pension, Group Life, Private Medical Insurance, 25 days’ holiday & a flexible benefits scheme.
The Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm - 12 month contract.
The Salary: Up to £32,000.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract.
Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year.
Schedule: Monday to Friday.
