Our client is a very well‑established law firm located in the centre of Nuneaton, with a great staff retention record due to their friendly and supportive work culture and their ongoing commitment to training and development of all staff. Support with professional qualifications including training contracts is available for eligible staff looking to qualify as a solicitor and establish a career specialising in litigation/dispute resolution in the longer term.

Due to an increased workload and expansion of the department, we are looking to attract an experienced Litigation Paralegal / Litigation Legal Assistant to support the Litigation Team who handle both claimant and defendant work. Disputes the team handle include landlord and tenant disputes, neighbour/boundary disputes, debt recovery, contract disputes, professional negligence and consumer disputes.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting the litigation team with a range of administration duties
  • Audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence
  • Liaising with clients by telephone, email and face to face
  • Use of a legal case management system
  • Working closely with, and assisting, a solicitor to ensure the smooth running of their caseload
  • Initially providing administrative support, leading to the running of your own caseload of dispute resolution matters in the longer term, predominantly handling landlord and tenant disputes

Suitable candidates will have:

  • 12 months+ experience of supporting a litigation team within an SRA regulated law firm
  • A law degree LPC/LLM (preferred but not essential)
  • Audio and copy typing skills/experience
  • Experience of using a legal case management system
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • The desire to progress to a fee‑earning role in the longer term

This is a full time permanent job, working Monday to Friday.
