Paralegal – New Client Enquiries £25,000 plus excellent benefits. 37.5 hours, Monday-Friday. 6‑month fixed‑term contract. Manchester city centre, M60 0AG – hybrid working with 1 day a month in the office.

We are looking for paralegals to join our personal injury and medical negligence team at Co‑op Legal Services.

What you’ll do:

  • Make initial contact with clients who have enquired through a high volume of webform/PPC/inbound calls in relation to new medical negligence enquiries.
  • Take a chronology of what has happened to the client and get a thorough understanding of how the incident has affected the client.
  • Ensure all history notes are recorded within our case management system.
  • Send cases over to a fee earner when required and send cases to be risk assessed when required.
  • Follow the contact strategy where clients haven’t been able to answer the phone.
  • Collect and chase for complaint correspondence when required.
  • Compassionately talk with clients in relation to their outcomes.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Previous experience of handling new client enquiries within medical negligence.
  • Great organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to prioritise work to meet our service level agreements.
  • Excellent telephone manner with the ability to communicate professionally and sensitively with clients.
  • Ability to work well individually and within a team.
