Paralegal – New Client Enquiries £25,000 plus excellent benefits (Work level 6C). 37.5 hours, Monday-Friday. 6‐month fixed‐term contract. Manchester city centre, M60 0AG – hybrid working with 1 day a month in the office.
We are looking for paralegals to join our personal injury and medical negligence team at Co‐op Legal Services.
What you'll do:
- Make initial contact with clients who have enquired through a high volume of webform/PPC/inbound calls in relation to new medical negligence enquiries.
- Take a chronology of what has happened to the client and get a thorough understanding of how the incident has affected the client.
- Ensure all history notes are recorded within our case management system.
- Send cases over to a fee earner when required and send cases to be risk assessed when required.
- Follow the contact strategy where clients haven't been able to answer the phone.
- Collect and chase for complaint correspondence when required.
- Compassionately talk with clients in relation to their outcomes.
Qualifications and experience:
- Previous experience of handling new client enquiries within medical negligence.
- Great organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to prioritise work to meet our service level agreements.
- Excellent telephone manner with the ability to communicate professionally and sensitively with clients.
- Ability to work well individually and within a team.
