An opportunity for a Paralegal to join a friendly and successful firm in Finchley, North London. The successful candidate will primarily assist with litigation as well as other cases within the firm. This position is ideal for experienced paralegals with at least one year experience in litigation. The ideal candidate must have no restrictions to work in the UK.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments.
- Draft pleadings, motions and appellate documents and file them with the court.
- Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organise case files, manage logistics etc).
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.
- Aid solicitors with applications and requests.
- Gather relevant information from a variety of sources.
- Provide assistance with case settlements.
Key Skills Required
- At least ONE YEAR experience as a Paralegal in a litigation department.
- Excellent communications skills to work effectively with all types of people.
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills and ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidance.
- Committed team player, self-motivated and professional.
- Excellent IT Skills - familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills.
