An opportunity to work closely with a solicitors’ firm specialising in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. The successful candidate would be shadowing the solicitor at the start and thereafter be encouraged to build up his / her own caseload under the solicitor’s supervision. The candidate would be based in our North Staffordshire office, working on local work in North Staffordshire, as well as national work via our contacts and Excello Law’s network of offices, particularly in London, Birmingham and Manchester.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Researching cases and legislation.
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Liaising with clients and other professionals such as barristers.
- Attending client meetings and court hearings.
- Attending networking meetings and events.
Skills and experience:
- University degree.
- Legal Practice Course graduate.
- Interest in Litigation and dispute resolution.
- Some experience of working in law may assist.
- Local connections helpful.
Opportunity to gain legal experience working locally and nationally for a national law firm. The successful candidate may have the opportunity to undertake a training contract with the firm, if interested, and if exceptional performance is demonstrated. Discretionary performance related bonus.
