Our client is a leading law firm with a number of offices across Devon and Somerset. On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Paralegal for their Residential Conveyancing Team in Exeter. This is a full-time, office-based position.
For the role, you will be confident managing a busy workload and must be able to use your own initiative and work well under pressure. You will also support members of the Residential Conveyancing Department, who may themselves work in a different office, by means of Winscribe digital dictation together with assisting (on occasion) with Reception cover (in your place of work) at lunchtime and in the event of absence.
The successful candidate will need to be able to:
- Assist in the progression of a conveyancing transaction to include:
- Preparation of draft Contract Papers
- Dealing with sale enquiries
- Ordering searches
- Exchanges and completions to include drafting completion statements, preparing SDLT Forms, Land Registry searches
- Post completion matters
