We’re looking for a Paralegal to join us in Bradford. This is hybrid working – 2 days in the office, 3 days remote. As part of the continued growth of our Legal Operations Team at Liberty Shared Services (LSS), we are looking for a Paralegal to focus on the recovery of damages from third parties following network damage. Here, you will be supported by a Team Manager to ensure you gain the skills and expertise to progress in your legal career.
In this Paralegal role you will be responsible for running your own portfolio of matters using a case management system and have access to some of the latest technology to help you in day‑to‑day activities. You will also be supporting a range of administrative functions such as setting up new cases, processing initial notification letters and payments processing, whilst providing insight for improvements which includes review of opportunities for automation and AI.
What will you be doing?
- Manage a diverse portfolio of claims: oversee pre‑litigated and litigated claims, ensuring effective and efficient handling.
- Analyze and progress claims: evaluate new claim data, set up and advance claims promptly, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct investigations: utilize various databases for detailed investigations and due diligence checks.
- Ensure compliance: adhere to internal procedures and regulatory requirements throughout the payment process.
- Support legal research: conduct in‑depth research using specialized data sources to assist with projects.
- Design automation solutions: collaborate with business partners to create and test automation solutions, enhancing efficiency within Legal Operations.
We tend to look for people with:
- A law degree and ideally with Paralegal and claims handling experience.
- Organised with a keen eye for detail.
- The ability to prioritise and deal with a high volume and fast‑paced demanding portfolio.
- Experience analysing and presenting data.
- Good verbal and written communicator with an inquisitive mindset.
- Experience with MS Office, including Excel.
