Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Overview Ref: (phone number removed) Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Virtualisation / Cloud / Scripting / Inside IR35 Role Responsibilities Responsibilities will include: Designing, implementing, administering, and maintaining core IT infrastructure systems, including: Server hardware platforms. Virtualisation suites (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Backup solutions. Supporting to key Enterprise Applications Acting as the principal IT liaison between software users and vendor support Developing, monitoring, and revising policies and procedures for IT systems Ensuring data integrity, security, and optimisation of IT systems Develop scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency. Essential skills will include: Extensive experience in core IT infrastructure systems. Proficiency with cloud and hybrid environments (e.g., Azure, AWS). Strong knowledge of automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python). Advanced understanding of IT security, compliance, and performance optimisation. Basic experience with database management. Proven experience in a similar senior infrastructure role.
