FPSG, working in partnership with a leading organisation within their field, have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Procurement professional to join their established team on a 1 year FTC. This position will be on a hybrid basis of office/home working, with our clients offices based in Glasgow.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The aim of the Procurement Department is to maximise savings and benefits, improve capability and to make sustainable procurement Business as Usual for the goods and services we need. The team supports our Corporate Plan through the efficient procurement of goods and services, developing collaborative working partnerships, whilst meeting statutory obligations. The post holder will report to the Procurement Manager for day-to-day activities and functional development but work closely with a team on an exciting project coming in 2023! Occasional direction will be given by Director of Corporate Services as appropriate.
REQUIRED BACKGROUND
An exciting opportunity, this appointment represents a fantastic avenue in which you can progress your career in a market leading organisation within their respective sector. Our client is keen to appoint an Accounts Payable professional who can demonstrate experience of:
- Experience of commercial governance and procurement to a large organisation.
- An understanding of contract law, current procurement legislation alongside an appreciation of Government developments in terms of Sustainable Procurement.
- Commercial awareness with an in-depth understanding of the funding and financial issues that influence and affect decisions.
- Strong IT skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience in Contract & Supplier Management.
- Understand the principles of Project Management.
- Good communication skills, and the ability to work on their own initiative.
