Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Virtualisation / Cloud / Scripting / Inside IR35
Role Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Designing, implementing, administering, and maintaining core IT infrastructure systems, including:
- Server hardware platforms.
- Virtualisation suites (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Backup solutions.
- Supporting to key Enterprise Applications
- Acting as the principal IT liaison between software users and vendor support
- Developing, monitoring, and revising policies and procedures for IT systems
- Ensuring data integrity, security, and optimisation of IT systems
- Develop scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
Essential skills will include:
- Extensive experience in core IT infrastructure systems.
- Proficiency with cloud and hybrid environments (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Strong knowledge of automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Advanced understanding of IT security, compliance, and performance optimisation.
- Basic experience with database management.
- Proven experience in a similar senior infrastructure role.
