Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Virtualisation / Cloud / Scripting / Inside IR35

Role Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

• Designing, implementing, administering, and maintaining core IT infrastructure systems, including:
  • Server hardware platforms.
  • Virtualisation suites (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Backup solutions.
• Supporting to key Enterprise Applications
• Acting as the principal IT liaison between software users and vendor support
• Developing, monitoring, and revising policies and procedures for IT systems
• Ensuring data integrity, security, and optimisation of IT systems
• Develop scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.

Essential skills will include:

• Extensive experience in core IT infrastructure systems.
• Proficiency with cloud and hybrid environments (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Strong knowledge of automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Advanced understanding of IT security, compliance, and performance optimisation.
• Basic experience with database management.
• Proven experience in a similar senior infrastructure role.
