A career building opportunity to join an expanding Edinburgh company, supporting, maintaining & enhancing the Azure platform. This post would be ideal for an early career DevOps engineer looking for increased responsibility and to progress with certification, or for an infrastructure or cloud support professional who has an understanding of Microsoft Azure Services and wishes to focus more on DevOps.

Role Responsibilities of the successful Engineer will include:

  • Azure Cloud Infrastructure maintenance & Support
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of DevOps best practice
  • Contributing to the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) agenda
  • Assisting in monitoring and troubleshooting system performance & availability
  • Contribute to the implementation & maintenance of security best practices
  • Assisting with documentation review & update
  • Assisting in upstream and downstream hardware, software and user support

The successful Engineer's experience will include:

  • Hands-on experience working with Cloud support, ideally Microsoft Azure services, including components such as virtual networks & machines
  • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory
  • Understanding of implementing Infrastructure as Code
  • Understanding of pipeline development with YAML CI/CD, Azure DevOps or GitHub actions
  • Exposure to containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
  • Basic scripting, PowerShell or Python

PLEASE NOTE:

  • The client are NOT Visa ready and are therefore unable to support Visa sponsorship
  • A reasonable proximity to the Edinburgh location is required for the 3 days hybrid on site
  • This is NOT a Senior or Lead DevOps role
