Location: Grangemouth

Background: FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea. Oil and gas liquids from over 50 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil, and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth.

Job Purpose: A key Integrity leadership role, overseeing the provision of intelligence for the Integrity function; setting and governing the standards by which Integrity is planned, managed, and reported. Manages stakeholders to drive ownership of key processes, meeting cadence, KPIs, and the reporting suite to ensure cross-functional cooperation for effective plan development.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Lead the team providing asset integrity assurance to minimize potential loss of containment and maximize mechanical availability of pipelines and pressure systems.
  • Custodian of FPS ISO17020 accreditation, responsible for Integrity Management System oversight and regulatory compliance.
  • Chair and owner of the FPS Risk-Based Inspection plan and meetings, ensuring process adherence, resource alignment, and timing/gate compliance.
  • Oversee all functional demand, ensuring thorough forward planning and reporting for PM inspections, WSE development, repair orders, and inspection report closeout.
  • Set strategy for long-term Integrity Management and inspection planning, maximizing integration and visibility between the Integrity, asset, and project teams.
  • Owner of functional performance and KPI reporting; chair the Element Performance Review and weekly team and planning meetings.
  • Ensure integration of activity plans, certifying inspection work is understood and efficiently delivered by FPS teams.
  • Lead internal and third-party technical advisory teams: materials, corrosion, welding, coatings, safety valves, and fireproofing.
  • Oversee systemization clerks, ensuring asset equipment is cataloged and accurately updated.
  • Drive continuous improvement through inspection learnings, audits, feedback, and lessons learned, promoting best practices.
  • Custodian of IDMS/work management systems, ensuring workflows support compliance and efficiency.
  • Identify and deploy new inspection technologies, collaborating with stakeholders to evaluate and implement them.

Special Features: The role leads a newly established team managing Integrity Function’s planning, intelligence, and performance governance through robust processes and KPIs. The counterpart is the Integrity Execution Team Lead, focused on delivery of inspection resources, WSE development, and inspection reporting/management. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the Integrity Function’s operations, implement best practices, and enhance threat identification and mitigation.

Qualifications and Technical Experience:

  • University engineering degree or equivalent with Chartered Engineering status from a recognized institute.
  • 10+ years’ experience in oil & gas/petrochemicals/refining industries, with significant exposure to asset integrity.
  • Extensive experience in audit management; ISO 17020 trained.
  • Experience in transformation, process development, and KPI implementation.
  • Proven leadership, team management, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Embodies INEOS rules and behaviors; sets expectations for contractors: ‘20 Principles’ and ‘LSR’.
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, SAP, Credo / Maximo – IDMS.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
