Exciting Opportunity for Skilled Farm Operators – 2025 Start Fresh Herbs & Sustainable Farming – West Sussex We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected family-owned farming business operating in and around West Sussex. Specialising in the cultivation and packing of fresh herbs for major UK retailers and food services, this forward-thinking farm is dedicated to sustainable agriculture and regenerative farming practices. With over 1000 hectares of irrigable land, supported by reservoirs and recycled water systems, the farm also produces Grade 1 Milling Wheat, alongside a variety of herbs such as Coriander, Flat and Curly Parsley, Dill, Mint, and Tarragon. Innovative semi-protected poly tunnels, advanced grain storage facilities, and a modern fleet of GPS-enabled machinery form the backbone of their efficient, sustainable operations. The Role: We are seeking skilled and motivated Farm Operators with Tractor experience to join this dynamic team from early 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about modern, sustainable agriculture to develop their skills and contribute to a growing enterprise. Key Responsibilities: Execute all elements of cultivation work. Conduct calibration, drilling, and fertiliser spreading. Undertake spraying tasks (PA1 and PA2 certification required) using a tractor. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations. Service and maintain machinery and equipment to a high standard. Operate telehandlers and contribute to workshop tasks. Perform a mix of manual and machinery-based farm work. Tractor driving and handling Work both independently and collaboratively, with strong communication skills.Candidate Profile: Ideal candidates will have hands-on farming experience, technical expertise, the ability to use tractors to spread, and a passion for sustainable practices.
