We are looking for experienced Maintenance Operatives/Handymen to start work on a temporary basis. The work is based at a Residential Building in Surrey.
Duties:
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs (e.g., fixing leaks, replacing lights, repairing doors).
- Carry out routine inspections and maintenance of communal areas, building systems, and fixtures.
- Ensure communal areas are clean, safe, and free of hazards.
- Test and maintain fire alarms, emergency lighting, and other safety systems.
- Follow health and safety regulations and report any risks or incidents.
- Respond promptly to residents' maintenance requests and emergency issues (e.g., leaks, power failures).
- Escalate complex problems to specialist contractors when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in shared spaces (entrances, hallways, gardens).
- Support seasonal tasks like snow removal or minor gardening.
- Log maintenance tasks and report major issues to property management.
- Liaise with contractors and assist with access for repairs or inspections.
