Our Client are looking for an experienced Landscaper/Gardener to join their team at a luxury residential estate based in Croydon.

Working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, 37.5 hours per week.

Salary is £40,950 annually.

Duties include

  • Landscape & Grounds Maintenance
  • Carry out daily litter picking across the estate to maintain a clean environment.
  • Maintain planting areas, lawns, trees, and shrubs to a high horticultural standard.
  • Undertake seasonal planting, pruning, and soil care activities.
  • Manage irrigation systems and monitor plant health to ensure optimal growth.
  • Maintain riverbank vegetation to prevent overgrowth and minimise erosion risks.
  • Operate and maintain gardening tools and machinery safely and effectively.
  • Identify pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Ensure all external areas are kept free of litter, weeds, and hazards.
  • Support biodiversity and implement sustainable gardening practices.
  • Ensure all activities comply with health and safety requirements, particularly when working near water or in public areas.
  • System Management
  • Monitor the system to ensure assigned works are completed and all relevant documentation is uploaded.
  • Log and respond to resident issues promptly and professionally through the system.
  • Health & Safety Management
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and secure environment across the estate.
  • Report and document all incidents, accidents, and near misses.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures as directed by the Managing Agent or Health & Safety Consultant.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Support health and safety inspections, audits, and record-keeping.
  • Conduct regular inspections of workspaces, facilities, and storage areas.
  • Identify and report hazards across the estate and within work areas.
  • Undertake or assist with non-specialist scheduled health and safety tasks as directed by the Estate Manager.

Qualifications Required

  • Proven experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture.
  • Good knowledge of plant care, pruning techniques, and lawn maintenance.
  • Ability to operate landscaping equipment (e. g. mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters).
  • Understanding of seasonal gardening and planting requirements.
  • Awareness of environmental practices, including riverbank and water-side maintenance.
