We are based in offices in the City of London and are part of a group with a turnover in excess of £23m, employing over 750 people.
We are committed to the highest standards of Health & Safety, not just for our team members, but for anyone visiting the blocks that we are involved in.
Part of this is analysing site Risk Assessments and checking for hazards that may affect our staff, recommending safe working practices to alleviate these risks and also in providing innovative online training courses to educate our people in how to work safely.
We have a requirement for a part-time Health & Safety Advisor to help us make this happen and to ensure Health & Safety remains at the forefront of what we do.
The role will mainly be home-based, but will also involve travel to our various sites, although they are all over the UK, the majority are in the Greater London area.
In addition, you will be required to come into our City offices for team meetings and occasional company days.
- Your duties would be,
- Liaising with clients to obtain and examine site RAs - note that you will not be required to create these
- Identifying specific risks to our staff
- Working with clients and others to mitigate these risks through devising adaptations and communicating safe working practices
- Working with HR and our training team to create instructional online learning
- Liaising with and advising the Operations team and the directors on perceived risks and hazards
This role can be very flexible and is therefore highly suitable for someone with parental or caring responsibilities.
We are looking to offer 20 hours a week, the important factor is that your work meets agreed output levels and deadlines.
In addition, we are happy to employ you directly, or as a limited company contractor.
The successful candidate MUST hold at least a Level 3 Certificate (NEBOSH or IOSH) and be a Tech IOSH Member.
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the delivery of front-line H&S Management within a similar industry to our own.
We are looking to offer a pro-rata salary based on £60,000 pa.
