We are recruiting a Dress for Success Manager for Foyle Womens Aid. This is a full-time role on a fixed contract until December 2026, with the possibility of extension subject to funding.

About Foyle Womens Aid: Foyle Womens Aid is a charity based in Derry~Londonderry, Northern Ireland, working to eliminate domestic abuse and sexual violence through awareness, prevention, education, advice and support across Derry~Londonderry, Strabane, Limavady and Dungiven.

Job purpose: The role supports delivery of Foyle Womens Aids strategic plan by driving growth and development of services, supporting the Chief Executive to enhance existing services, generating ideas, building new relationships, increasing service reach and funding, and managing staff while working collaboratively across the organisation.

Position details:

  • Location: Foyle Trust Area, Strabane & Limavady Council Area
  • Hours: 35 hours per week, with travel between sites required
  • Salary: £29,690.64 per annum
  • Contract: Full-time, fixed term to December 2026 (extension subject to funding)

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of Dress for Success in Belfast and Derry, ensuring a responsive, productive service for clients
  • Ensure appropriately skilled volunteers are available to support clients
  • Support the Volunteer Coordinator with setting objectives, training, and developing policies and procedures for the service
  • Maintain robust reporting systems to provide outcome information to sponsors, funders, Board and Chief Executive
  • Liaise with other Dress for Success providers to ensure best practice
  • Identify and secure several new corporate sponsors each year and demonstrate the impact of their support on Dress for Success, Foyle Womens Aids profile and income

Training and development:

  • Develop training programmes and associated funding applications in line with Council and funder requirements
  • Support development and delivery of bespoke training for clients transitioning to independence and returning to the workforce (including through labour market partnerships)
  • Research and pursue funding opportunities for training and development initiatives that may generate income for FWA
  • Act as a trainer as required and evaluate training initiatives, reporting outcomes to funders
  • Ensure all initiatives are appropriately resourced

Partnership & business development:

  • Respond promptly and positively to all who express interest in supporting FWA initiatives
  • Organise and attend events to promote Foyle Womens Aid and its projects
  • Agree annual business development objectives with the Chief Executive and create plans to deliver them
  • Develop formal agreements with partner organisations and maintain effective relationships with funders and stakeholders

General responsibilities:

  • Work strategically with the Chief Executive to develop Foyle Womens Aid and the Family Justice Centre, identifying new opportunities and plans
  • Contribute to partnership agreements, ensuring clear commitments
  • Ensure staff involved in training and business promotion are fully briefed and engaged
  • Work with finance colleagues to signal and cost proposals
  • Attend seminars, conferences and promotional events and stay up to date with best practice

Essential criteria:

  • At least 2 years project management experience with strong coordination skills and a proven track record of achieving goals
  • Strong social media marketing skills and experience using Facebook, X, Instagram and YouTube
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with stakeholders
  • Highly organised, results-driven, strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Team player, adaptable to change
  • Full driving licence and access to a car for business use
  • Willingness to work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check

Desirable criteria:

  • Third-level degree in a relevant discipline
  • At least 5 years project management experience
  • Retail experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and report writing
  • Experience writing successful funding applications
  • Event planning experience
