Technical Assistant Location: Omagh, Co. Tyrone, BT79 0BQ Salary: Competitive The Role Our client is looking to employ a Technical Assistant within their Retail Packing Facility at the Ingredients site based in Omagh, Co. Tyrone. The Technical Assistant will report directly to the Technical Manager and will be part of a busy Technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding food safety and quality procedures. Hours of operation for the role are generally between 7am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday. One early start per week (6am) on a rotational basis, and occasional cover required for Saturday operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Monitoring and verification of quality control checks ensuring compliance with customer specifications. Carrying out GMP audits against Food Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures Manage and collate customer complaint trend analysis and corrective actions Coordinate actions for non-conformances with relevant teams to effectively implement corrective and preventative actions. Training of operatives in relation to food safety and quality requirements Assisting with external audits Complete designated tasks as defined in the quality management and HACCP system.
