About The Role
We're looking for an experienced Fleet Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operation of our fleet function and manage a team of fleet colleagues.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a fleet professional with strong operational and people management experience who enjoys leading teams, solving problems and driving continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and developing a team of fleet professionals, conducting regular one-to-ones and performance reviews to support engagement, development and service excellence.
- Managing daily fleet operations, including vehicle movements, maintenance, repairs and vehicle availability.
- Coordinating driver activity and ensuring resources are deployed effectively.
- Supporting employees and drivers with fleet-related queries and escalations.
- Overseeing fleet claims activity and helping to reduce vehicle damage and associated costs.
- Supporting fleet compliance, driver safety and risk management initiatives.
- Managing supplier relationships and monitoring service performance.
- Producing operational reports and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service and cost performance.
- Acting as the operational lead for the fleet department in the absence of the Head of Fleet Risk & Operations.
About You
What We're Looking For
- Experience within fleet management, vehicle operations, leasing or the automotive sector.
- Previous experience supervising or managing a team.
- Strong understanding of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance and supplier management.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and operational systems.
- A proactive and customer-focused approach.
- Confidently represent the fleet function through presentations, training sessions and stakeholder briefings, communicating key fleet initiatives, policies and operational updates.
Desirable
- Experience managing a corporate fleet.
- Knowledge of fleet claims, motor insurance or fleet risk.
- Experience with electric vehicles and driver compliance programmes.
- Fleet or automotive qualifications.
